The 2000 International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS) is to provide an international forum for scientists, engineers, and computer users to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results on all aspects of parallel and distributed systems. The main program will include technical presentations, invited talks, and panels. In addition to the main program, several workshops on hot topics in various areas of parallel and distributed systems will be held. The Iwate Prefectural University is about 500 km north of Tokyo, about three hours from Tokyo by the super express train of Tohoku Shinkansen. Topics include, but are not limited to: . Performance Modeling and Evaluation Paper Submission: ================= Prospective authors are invited to submit research contributions representing original, previously unpublished work. Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. All papers will be refereed by at least three experts including members of the program committee. All submitted papers MUST not exceed 25 double-spaced, 8.5 x 11-inch pages including figures and references in 10-12 point font. Each page must be numbered. The authors are strongly recommended to submit the paper by FTP. The conference papers will be published in the proceedings of ICPADS2000 and the workshop papers in the proceedings of ICPADS workshops. The authors of selected papers are planned to be invited to submit an extended version
